Sometimes kiddos in their toddler stages don't quite have the patience for family portraits... but we work with their temperament and we get creative! Little Caroline just wanted to play and at first we thought she would never smile. Boy did we fool her! We got a few brilliant smiles out of this little girl and the result is a very memorable day. Beautiful family!

I had been looking for the perfect size and shape end table, small table, or old ottoman to refinish and make my own. I found this lovely Pinterest abomination at a flea market. It was sturdy and had interesting legs. Perfect! This was my first "tufting" experience, so it's not perfect. However, I'm still excited about the results. Wait... What's up with the skull? The skull is to keep the cat from sitting on the ottoman... or is it?! Cue lightning, thunder and ominous tones! ;) {BEFORE} {AFTER}
