I love the challenge of remodeling on a budget. We recently moved and purchased a home in great condition... but it was just a tad dated. The master bedroom was one of my largest projects so far. Please forgive the pixilated "before" image. But if you can make out the mauve and blue floral 80s border and matching wall paper... I'm so sorry. I'm sure it was beautiful when the house was first built in 1987, but it was time for something new and refreshing! I am was very pleased with how everything came together in the end. A friend recently asked, "Wow, did you do the molding all by yourself?" My reply, "Why yes, with a paint brush and faux wood grain tool." That's right, I completely faux finished the 80s border with a wood finish technique. With the combination of the two original pieces of wood molding, it appears that I have brand new chunky wood molding! Yay!

Do you recognize this young lady? Her portraits are featured in my photography portfolio. I've been blessed, once again, with the opportunity to photograph Daninira, this time for her senior portraits... oh how they grow up so fast.
Congratulations Daninira! May there be many more successes in your future. Another beautiful session with the Dedrick family. Love the fall colors and the kids were a joy and so much fun to work with.
