Throw-back Thursday... LOL! Okay - so this session hadn't made the blog until recently. Why? This was actually a shoot for a magazine spread! ProfitBuilder Magazine, which is an animal health product publication produced by Durvet, Inc, had me shoot the soon-to-be engaged couple Kassie and Raleigh with their beautiful horses, Boy and Sierra. The publication was published summer of 2016! This shoot was a little tricky because the session took place during the late morning hours, we had ZERO cloud coverage, and it was in the summer! We had to battle some hard light, dense shade with no in-between... but overall the shoot ended up being pretty cool! Our equine friends cooperated wonderfully and at the very end we had some play time with the cutest little puppy you ever did see, Cowboy! Not a bad work day, if I do say so myself. XOXO, CALLISTA These photos are the property of Durvet, Inc. Originally published in ProfitBuilder Magazine Summer 2016.

This is a very special post about two very special people. I have known Chelsea for over 20 years now. We grew up down the street from one another and became BFFs 4-EVA in elementary school. I remember our walks through the neighborhood like it was yesterday. We would have long 'serious" life discussions and dish on our crushes, celebrity (Devon Sawa) or local (it will always remain top secret). Our taste in boys changed over the years, but there was always a few important things that always stayed the same. We wanted them to be kind and funny, honorable and intelligent, and family must be a top priority to them. For Chelsea the love of football was a huge must, for me not as much. Haha!
Well a few weeks ago I had the honor of taking engagement photos of her and the man who meets all of our childhood 'future husband requirements'... and then some. :) I'm so happy for these two, they are truly blessed to have found each other. Congratulations Brian and Chelsea! I love you both with all my heart! Sweet love... that's what Brioni and Kurtis have. We shared a gorgeous fall sunset at Stephens Lake Park, where I witnessed first hand how adorably in love this couple is. In addition, the weather was perfect! It was raining most of the week, but luckily it cleared into a beautiful day. The rustic bridge set the tone for this session, giving us warm rustic elegance. I love all the shots we got and the bride-to-be's creative prop additions. Congratulations to the happy couple! I wish you a blessed and happy marriage. <3
