I’m Callista—an artist and fine-art photographer serving families throughout the Kansas City metro area.

My creative journey began long before I ever picked up a camera. As a child, I was constantly drawing, crafting, and storytelling—filling pages with imagined worlds and quiet details. That early love for art eventually led me to study fine art, earning a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in graphic design, where composition, light, and visual storytelling became the foundation of my work.

Photography entered my life as a natural extension of that training. What began as a creative outlet grew, in 2011, into Callista Bond Art & Photography—a studio rooted in an art-forward approach to documenting real life. Today, I specialize in in-home newborn sessions and outdoor family portraiture, creating images that feel timeless, natural, and deeply personal.

My work is intentionally unhurried and thoughtfully curated. I believe the most meaningful photographs come from connection—not perfection—and from allowing space for families to simply be together. Every session is designed to feel calm, comfortable, and reflective of the season you’re in right now.
