As you may already know, I'm a huge fan of bringing my art to the local community. This year I will be participating in the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival which takes place downtown Blue Springs, MO the weekend of September 13th-15th 2013. I will be setting up shop and completing two beach themed chalk murals over the weekend. There was recently some press in our local paper, The Examiner, in regards to the festival preparation and there was a little blurb about my participation! Some of the new attractions include local chalk artist Callista Bond. Bond, who has an art and photography studio in Blue Springs, is a graphic designer, artist, decorator, crafter and photographer. According to her website, callistabond.com, she has lived in the Kansas City area for the last four years and has been drawing and painting since she “she could hold a crayon.” Be sure to check out some of the other attractions the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival has to offer at www.bluespringsfallfestival.com.

I'M FAMOUS! Well, okay not really... but I was included in the August 2013 issue of KC Magazine! Myself, as well as, Joley Wiley (a fellow artist friend) were interviewed for an article in the Resources section (pg. 35-36). Callista Bond Art & Photography services include portraiture, wall murals, faux finishing, chalk and street painting for festivals or Read the entire article at www.kcmag.com.
Paint the Night is a one night event in July when Leawood, KS is transformed into the streets of Paris! Guests enjoy a magical night of Paris flavors, festivities, fashion and fun at Park Place’s annual block party. There was live music, fire dancers, aerial dancers, StoneLion Puppet Theatre, jugglers, a fashion show, outdoor food and drink (including wine) and last, but not least CHALK STREET PAINTING! That's where I came in! Another artist (my husband) and myself created two vibrant Paris themed murals for the guests to enjoy.
