I absolutely love it when my brides and grooms are excited about their engagement and wedding photos! I met Alexus and Jesse as I was shooting at a wedding late 2019. Alexus was immediately excited about the process and the creativity that goes into it. So, I was especially delighted when she contacted me afterward to ask if I would photograph her Spring 2020 wedding to her longtime love, Jesse. YES! I’D LOVE TO!
A few weeks later we met at Lowenstein Park, Lee’s Summit for our sunset engagement session. Engagement sessions are important, as I get a chance to get to know my couples a bit better, and see how they interact with one another. The weather was beautiful this day. We had been coming out of a rainy Fall season, and you never know what you are going to get during these sessions at this time of the year. But as luck would have it, the sun was shining for us and we captured some beautiful shots. You can immediately tell how in love Alexus and Jesse are. They really are two peas in a pod. I’m so looking forward to their wedding this year. Congrats Alexus and Jesse!

I'm so excited for Taylor and Jonathan! This couple is so perfect for each other, it made my heart sing as they strolled hand-in-hand on the paths that meander through Burr Oak Woods. It was a beautiful summer day, the heat was tapering off and the sun was SHINING through the woods creating a golden sparkle backdrop (I could never have planned). It was stunning... a perfect evening and the perfect preview to what is going to be an even more stunning wedding in just a few weeks time!
Congratulations Taylor and Jonathan! I'm looking forward to capturing more beautiful moments at your wedding this September. I love shooting at Jacob L. Loose Park near Kansas City's Country Club Plaza district. If you haven't been, it's a must to see as it is the third largest in Kansas City and is home to a small lake, walking trails, rolling hills, gorgeous tree varieties, some beautiful statues and fountains as well as a stunning rose garden.
Strolling through the park with Cierra and Lou was a real treat. They were a little nervous at first, but completely open to my ideas from the get-go, and I'm pretty confident we all had a great time. Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites from Cierra and Lou's shoot! |
