I truly wish every fall evening was as perfect as the one of this maternity mini session. Just perfect weather, perfect light... they call it the "golden hour" for a reason. Just look at that golden light hitting those turning leaves. Stunning... What makes it even more special? This couple... I've been photographing their journey (engagement, marriage, family and now new life) for the past 5 years now. I love it when my clients come back to have me capture their milestones and their stories. It truly just paints this picture of love, and I'm so honored to be apart of those memories. Congratulations you two! I can't wait to meet your little one.

This past weekend I met Marisa and Travis at Antioch Park in Kansas for a very special shoot! This adorable couple is about to welcome their newest addition in December! We had decent weather, the park was speckled with Fall color, and these two were perfection.

That is what this session oozed. I've been photographing the Lightfoot family for a few years now. I love that they feel comfortable enough around me to really open up, relax and let me capture what they have between them... love. You can see it in their smiles, the way they hold each other and now even more so with a growing baby bump! With their new family member just weeks away from arriving we took a chance on what was (believe it or not) a cloudy day. Right as we got ready to shoot the sky cleared just enough to let rays of sunshine come through the trees creating a magical session.
