Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival 2013 - Day 1

Day 1 of the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival chalk mural is complete! The theme for the festival this year is Ride the Wave.
I created a very literal mural of a surfer dude... riding a wave. Of course, I added fun elements; a ocean floor with fish, a beach with huts and a beautiful mountain/dormant volcano.
I will let you know that for a moment while chalking I felt like I was really there... Then I realized it was that small (but effective) beam of sunlight burning my right arm... SO, tomorrow I will wear more sunscreen!
I just LOVE how this day turned out. The chalk watchers were great! I even had a very young one educate me on all the fishies I was drawing... I had no clue, I just thought they were pretty! Future Marine Biologist that one is!
