Last week I had an awesome opportunity to photograph my newly engaged friends Jeff and Laurie. My husband and I have known these two for a very long time, and we are so happy that they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
Laurie and Jeff wanted something a little different for their engagement photos, so we threw around some ideas. Clinton's Soda Fountain popped into my head as an excellent potential site. Clinton's is a authentic soda fountain and historical landmark in Independence, MO (Note: we called ahead to confirm it was okay to shoot our session inside). Harry Truman worked his first job at Crown Drug Store in this very building. It turned out to be a very unique location for an engagement session! Check out some of these awesome shots and CONGRATS to the beautiful couple!

Last week I shot an beautiful dusk engagement session at Independence Square. It was a little humid, but that didn't phase the couple... Me on the other hand... it wasn't pretty. LOL! However, I have to say, it was completely worth it! The sun was warm and soft as it danced across the streets. There were many beautiful shots - too many to post. Congratulations Ashley and Michael on your engagement! Enjoy.
Crystal and Nik were the lucky contest winners from my January 2012 "Free Engagement Photos" contest. It was actually Nik's younger sister Michaela who entered the contest, which she generously gifted to her brother and his fiance. What a sweet sis! It was a great session. You can really tell by the shots we got from the day how in love this couple is. Congratulations Crystal and Nik! {The couple also brought their dog Pirate to the session. She was just a doll!}
