Summer Time Fun | Blue Springs

We have a new tradition at our house for Independence Day (4th of July)... it's almost my son, Damien's, half birthday so we have a mini photo session with him decked out in his stars and stripes. This year I wanted to go the extra mile and dragged some big ripe watermelons with us to Ward Park here in Blue Springs. There is nothing better than a watermelon photo shoot, am I right? I love watching my little man enjoy a special treat, and even more so when I get it all on camera!
This was just the start to our day. We made sure to beat the heat and got out early enough to catch the beautiful sun rays coming through the old oak trees that are scattered through the park.
It was a great way to start off the holiday and make some memories. I hope you enjoy this peek into our fun filled day!
