I will usually try to create a special painting for at least one member of my family each year. This year I completed a piece for my lovely sister-in-law. I chose a lighter more feminine jar of Peonies as my subject and attempted to focus on the light fragmenting in the composition. The sides of the canvas were painted with gold leaf. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.
The daisy painting below is actually something others can learn to! It's actually a lesson I use to teach at Michaels Arts & Crafts when I was a painting instructor in 2011. This year I framed it and gave it away as a gift to my husband's aunt. If you are interested in taking a class at Michaels leave a comment and I'll send you in the right direction.
